Purpose of your Job

As a Laboratory Technical Support Specialist, you play a key role in ensuring the reliability, cleanliness, and compliance of the laboratory environment. You take ownership of essential lab equipment, perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, manage consumables, and support lab safety and organization.

Your Responsibility
  • Take technical ownership of laboratory instruments (e.g., centrifuges, pipettes, microbiological safety cabinets (MSCs), pH meters) by ensuring their operational readiness and proper use through regular monitoring, maintenance, and documentation.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of glassware and laboratory equipment to ensure their proper care, functionality, and longevity.
  • Maintain general lab cleanliness and organization while supporting lab safety initiatives by contributing to hygiene, order, and the implementation of safety standards and procedures.
  • Organize, order, and replenish laboratory consumables by monitoring inventory levels, identifying needs, placing timely orders, and ensuring proper storage and availability.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and calibration tasks to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of laboratory instruments.
  • Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on analytical instruments independently, documenting all actions taken.
  • Communicate, coordinate, and supervise external service technicians by scheduling service visits, accompanying technicians on-site, and verifying the proper execution of maintenance or repair work.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant legal regulations (e.g., S1, S2, GMP, GRP) and occupational safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Group Leader.
What you need to succeed
  • Completed CTA or BTA training, or comparable qualification. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in science (chemistry, biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy or similar) is a plus
  • Prior relevant work experience in a laboratory environment
  • Familiarity with Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and Good Research Practice (GRP)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Good English skills (both written and spoken)
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a high level of technical curiosity
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach
