Proposal Manager (m/f/d)

 The position holder supports securing new business for various service offerings (e.g., formulation development, lyophilization and analytical services) by ensuring good understanding of client needs and translating these into technical proposals/amendments including scope, timelines and costs.
Proposal development:
  • Processing of incoming requests for proposals (RFPs) from clients in close interaction with the responsible business development (BD) manager
  • Participation in technical calls with clients together with the responsible BD manager and subject matter expert/scientific advisor in order to better understand the clients´ business needs 
  • Compilation of tailored technical proposals including scope, deliverables, cost estimation, payment schedules and timelines 
  • Perform and coordinate internal review process of proposals with key stakeholders (BD-manager, subject matter experts, scientific advisors, BD back office, accounting)
BD-related activities for ongoing client projects
  • Act as an interface between BD and project teams e.g., during the implementation of projects into the daily operations or upon requests from project team 
  • Compile amendments for ongoing projects in close collaboration with the project teams and the responsible BD manager; and coordinate amendments internally and externally (client)
General Tasks for BD
  • Engage in development of new approaches, procedures, and processes, related to proposal management and development
  • Supports the collection of important company key performance indicators 
  • University degree degree in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry, chemical engineering or another relevant field
  • 5+ years professional experience in drug product development for biopharmaceuticals, vaccines and/or ATMPs incl. lyophilization and liquid formulation development for clinical studies– protein sciences)
  • Preferably first working experience in a similar position
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent team player with good communication skills
  • Willingness to travel (between home office and Martinsried)
  • Excellent MS-Office knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal scientific English skills
  • Very good organization skills
  • Very good structured and careful mode of operation
  • Working with absolute discretion and maintains strictest confidentiality
  • Ability to work motivated and well in a fast-paced environment
